The greatest rewards lie in achieving the goals: less waste, reduced CO2e, and preserved resources! Among the 4 Rs (Reduce, Recycle, Repair, and Reuse), the last R requires collective awareness and long-term behavioral changes. For these changes to become the norm, it is crucial to increase the use of reusable packaging and tableware. Indeed, the more of us adopt these practices, the more natural and integrated they become in our daily lives.
To motivate and thank the participants, wonderful prizes will be offered by Geneva-based organizations and the services of the State of Geneva.

Recognizing the role of urban agriculture as a bridge between farmers and consumers, gaining international legitimacy, the OCAN (Cantonal Office for Agriculture and Nature) took an interest in the concept of urban farms in the 2010s and chose to develop a pilot project with the operators of the Ferme de Budé, owned by the State. Gradually, the idea of a ‘Maison de l’Alimentation,’ interdisciplinary in its members and cross-cutting in its approach, began to take shape.
The association was officially founded on August 22, 2019, by the Republic and Canton of Geneva, AgriGenève, the Fédération Romande des Consommateurs, the Union of Geneva Peasant and Rural Women, and the City of Geneva.
